Are you a Natural Resources Student Looking for a Resource Related Job?

The MNRC Student Job Fair is THE PLACE to be!  Please join us for the 20th annual Student Job Fair at the 2018 Missouri Natural Resources Conference on Wednesday January 31st at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, Missouri. The 2018 Job Fair will include four different sessions for students.

New for 2018
will be the "Making Young Professionals" prize drawing! If you attend two of the four classes listed below, you will be entered into the drawing.  You will receive a ticket for participation in each class. Bring two or more tickets to the jobs opening and sign up for the drawing. Prizes will include USBs, porfolios, briefcases, Samsung tablet, and $450 towards interview clothing!

Career Workshop,  Room 60-61, 3:00-4:00 PM

Presentations outlining how to apply for federal internships and jobs (with agencies such as the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Natural Resources Conservation Service, etc); how to use the Pathways Program and navigate the online application process.  How to apply and interview for Missouri State jobs (such as the Missouri Department of Conservation and Department of Natural Resources). Learn where to find job listings and how to prepare for the interview process.

Speed Networking, Salon C, 4:00-5:30PM

Have you ever wondered how professional obtained their jobs? Then speed networking is the place to be! You get a chance to talk directly with professionals about their careers, how they got to where they are, and anything else that can be squeezed into ten minutes!

Resume Building,  Room 60-61, 4:00-6:00PM

Bring your resume by and get expert advice on how to make your resume the best it can be.

Job Openings, Salon C, 5:00-6:30PM

Come take a look at current job openings with state and federal agencies, universities and colleges, private industry and non-government organizations.

Students: All you have to do is show up at Tan-Tar-A! No registration is required and you do not have to attend the conference to attend the Job Fair
The evening mixer is not included in the job fair, however a student registration is available for 40 dollars including the mixer and conference.   It is suggested that you bring copies of your resume for review and to hand out. Resource Professionals, Grad Students and Professors
Are you seeking employees with natural resource backgrounds? Then the job fair is the perfect opportunity for you. In years past we have had over 140 students ranging from high school graduates to people with masters degrees and current resource professionals attend the job fair. Employers will offer full and part-time positions along with temporary positions. No job is too big or too small. The student Job fair is free.  Please contact Andy Turner for further information on how employers can participate in this years Job Fair.
